The old town has a history of more than 800 years. Mu's residence which is situated in the southwest of the Old Town of Lijiang. It was the Tusi Mu's Yamen of the Naxi Ethnic Group in Yunnan. Tusi Mu was the ruler of Naxi during the Yuan, Ming & Qing Dynasties. During their reigning, this residence was the center of politics, power and wealth in ancient Naxi. It could be said that it was a miniature Forbidden City. 

Your private tour guide will meet you at hotel lobby, then we drive to Lugu Lake reputed as women's Kingdom. After lunch, we take private boat to Liwubi Island, one of the 5 Islands on Lugu Lake. We'll enjoy nice view of the Lugu Lake and have opportunity to feed Seagulls. Lugu Lake is in the shape of a horse's hoof - long from north to south, and narrower from east to west. The vista of the lake changes constantly throughout the day. The morning mist mixed with the light of the rising sun gives it an orange glow covered by mist. When the light of sun causes the hills to throw their shadows onto the water, the Lugu Lake has a jade green color. The lake is calm and dark green in the evening when the sun sinks, and is peaceful when night comes. Gentle wind blows and water ripples.

Afterwards, we' ll wander around the Mosuo villages located by the lake (We' ll visit a Mosuo family) . Mystery and charm surround the Lugu Lake, partly because it was once an unspoiled place and still retains much of its totally natural beauty, but mostly because the Mosuo people who live there form a matriarchal society. There is no marriage. Men stay in the women's home as mates called 'Axia' and the intimate relationship lasts as long as they like. Children are brought up by women, and use the surname of their mothers. Families are composed of the members of the matrilineal kin. Women operate production and management, and hold the principal position in the society, forming a modern day 'woman's kingdom', which adds mystique to this place. 

After the dinner, we' ll join the Mosuo bonfire party in which we can sing and dance with Mosuo people. Afterwards, we drive to the hotel located by Lugu lake. 

Your private tour guide will meet you at hotel lobby, then we go on visiting scenic spots around Lugu Lake. We' ll visit Caohai wet land, the Marriage Bridge, Mountain of the Goddess, Princess Island, etc. After lunch, we drive back to hotel in Lijiang.

Your private tour guide will meet you at hotel lobby, then we drive to visit the First Bend of Yangtze River. The bend is the spot where south running river suddenly turns northward due to changes in the shape of the nearby mountain ranges which form a mammoth V shape at this spot.

Afterwards, we drive to Tiger Leaping Gorge, one of the deepest gorges in the world. From the top of the gorge, we look down the steeply angled (70-90 degrees) mountain sides to the rushing Golden Sands River with its 18 frothing rapids more than 200 meters below. How spectacular!

Continue to visit Lashihai wetland park where we can do kayaking, horse riding (along the Tea-Horse Ancient Road). After the tour, we drive back to hotel. 

Your private tour guide will meet you at hotel lobby, then we drive to visit the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain which is the southernmost glacier in the Northern Hemisphere. Consisting of 13 peaks among which Shanzidou is the highest one (altitude: 5600 meters), the snow-covered and fog-enlaced mountain resembles a jade dragon lying in the clouds when we look over it from Lijiang Old Town.

Jade Dragon Snow Mountain is a sanctuary for rare animals and wild plants. In fact, one fourth of all plant species in China can be found here. These species live in different temperature levels and create different kinds of views. The 13 peaks, which have the altitudes of at least 4,000 meters, are covered by snow all year round; the mountain is also called the "Natural Glacier Museum" for it has all types of glacier. We' ll take the cable car to visit Glacier Park.  The plants and the animals are different according to the altitude, so are the views. Every sight brings you a surprise and every step takes you to a new scene.

Jade Dragon Snow Mountain now is more than a ski resort but a famous scenic spot for sightseeing, hiking, mountaineering, skiing, exploration, scientific research and taking holiday.

This afternoon, we go to visit the Shuhe Old Town reputed as  'the hometown of springs'. UNESCO has listed it as an important component of Lijiang as it is a well-preserved example of a town along the ancient tea route and one of the earliest settlements of the ancestors of Naxi people. After the tour, we drive back to hotel.

The local representative will meet you at hotel lobby this morning, then we drive to airport and take flight to Shanghai.
