This morning, you take a flight leaving for Guilin (departure/arrival: 08:00AM/ 10:30AM). Upon arrival at Guilin airport, ourEnglish-speaking tour guide will meet you at arrival hall, and then we drive to visit Elephant Trunk Hill first. The hill resembling a giant elephant drinking water from the Li river is the symbol of Guilin.

  Proceed to visiting Reed Flute Cave which is famed as “A Natural Palace of Art”. We can see lots of stalactites & stalagmites illuminated by the lights of different colors in the cave. Afterwards, we drive to hotel.

   Have breakfast at hotel, then we drive to Longsheng county which is about 110km northwest to Guilin.

   Longsheng county has in recent years gradually become a popular destination of photography enthusiasts and people who are interested in minority culture. During the tour, you will not only enjoy the wonderful view of terraced rice paddies, lush bamboo groves and small villages on the hillside, but also be amazed by the rich culture of the Zhuang and Yao people. When we climb up to the destination Ping An Village and look down on the nearby terraced rice fields, we will have the feeling that they are standing on the Dragon’s back as the terraced rice paddies look like the shining scales of the dragon.

   After breakfast, we drive to Zhujiang pier and board the cruise to enjoy nice view of famous Li river (the jouney is about 3-4hours depending on the season(dry/rainy). Disembark at Yangshuo pier.

  Proceed to drive to Yangshuo county and stroll along West Street where we can find many delicate handcrafts and special local snacks.

It is an outdoor performance set in real mountains and rivers in Yangshuo County. The stage is a 2km (1.25 miles) stretch along Li River wi-th 12 mountain peaks and the clear sky as the background. The performance is a masterpiece combining an awesome natural stage with excellence in theatrical production.

  It took Mr. ZhangYimou three and half years to finish preparations for launching the show. The performance lasts for 70 minutes and more than 600 actors and actresses are involved. (all the actors of the show are local people who have practiced meticulously)

  We' ll stay in a retreat in Yangshuo country side tonight. (comparing with hotels in county, you' ll find that the enviroment here is much more beautiful)

  Have breakfast at retreat, enjoy the beautiful mountain view, we are so lose to nature.

  Then, we go to visit Moon hill which is a huge slice of rock with a round hole in its center, and you mount 800 steps on a marble paved mountain path to reach it. At various angles it resembles from the new moon to a full moon. The rock measures 380 m (height) by 410m (length) by 220m (width).

   Moon Hill offers sufficient challenge to both amateur and professional climbers.The region around the hill is endowed with beautiful sight. Many mountain rocks are in particular shapes which bring visitors infinite reverie. Local people call this picturesque scenic sight 'Ten-li Gallery'. 

   Then, we drive to Yulong river pier, take bamboo rafting along Yulong river, the jouney is about 1 hour. Yulong river famed as little Li River, is the biggest branch of Li River in Yangshuo county. Apart from the incredible landscape that rivals Li River, Yulong River owes its special of a more peaceful and vivid scenery with ancient villages and bridges along with daily life scenes of local people.

   Proceed to visit Jiuxian village which is a typical ancient village located around 500 meters from the Yulong river and 6 km from Yangshuo. Jiuxian was formerly the Yangshuo county seat. It was built in the Tang Dynasty and has 1400 years of history. This village not only preserves Ming and Qing period architecture but also retains many old cultural traditions.

   After visiting Jiuxian village, we drive to Guilin airport and take a flight back to Shanghai.
